Thanks Tom and Jacob. The above works, but without the double quotes: i.e.
|

|
|
sh -c 'for f in `folders -recurse -fast` ; do sortm +"$f" ; done'
|
|
|
|
I'd attach this command to the sorting menu if I knew any tcl...
|
